Market Share set a world record Sunday May 25, 2014 to become the fastest trotter ever to race on a five-eighths mile track in 1:50.2. Capturing the $250,000 Maxie Lee Memorial Trot at Harrah’s Philadelphia Sunday. Driven by Tim Tetrick, Market Share broke the previous record of 1:50.3 co-held by Uncle Peter and Sevruga, both set in 2013.

Made my first trip to Harrah’s Philly to watch the Maxi Lee 2014. What a great track and facility. I had the opportunity to meet many of the horsemen who worked with and were mentored by Maxie. I heard some great stories about a very well liked and respected trainer/driver in the business. My only regret after this weekend is that I didn’t get the chance to meet Mr. Lee.
